PERCUSSION INDEPENDENT OPEN

Q2, our second ensemble under the Atlanta Quest brand, was founded in 2015, making Percussion Independent Open Class finals during their first year of competition.

The ensemble is known for establishing foundational and expanding challenging skill sets amongst members generally ranging from 16 to 21 years of age and coming from the larger metro-Atlanta area. Many members use the skills developed at Q2 to earn a spot in World-class group, Atlanta Quest, the following audition season.

After COVID-cancelled WGI Championships in 2020 and 2021, the ensemble returned to Dayton in ‘22 and made finals for the first time since their inaugural season, placing 12th. In 2023, Q2 had its most successful competitive campaign ever - placing 5th in PIO.
